Legend has it that many years ago, settled here and established his kingdom ancient African civilization – Palaces, sunk in luxury in typical African style. The site of today’s palace in the center of Sun City was a former royal palace, destroyed by earthquake, swept away all the townspeople. Marbella After Dark

By Zoritza Petrova on Monday, December 20, 2010

MarbellaLocated on Spain’s south coast in the vibrant region of Andalucía, Marbella has a reputation as a stylish, chic and classy city attracting those with money or those who enjoy looking at it. Thanks to this affluent reputation there are loads of great bars, restaurants and clubs for those holiday makers who want to keep things going long after they’ve left the beach.
For a venue with true star appeal (Kate Moss, Mariah Carey, Naomi Campbell and Bruce Willis have all partied here) Olivia Valere takes some beating. The atmosphere here is pure class with a refinement that should suit anyone wanting to escape the rather more rough-around-the-edges student clubs elsewhere in the region. Here, you get to mingle with the beautiful people and with a capacity for over a thousand, there’s certainly no shortage of those. The only down-side is the rather pricy drinks (I guess millionaire models, singers and actors don’t have to worry about the bill) but you could argue this is a small price to pay to be partying in a venue that is probably the most lavish you’ll ever come across – and you never know who you could be rubbing shoulders with in the process…

Sightseeing Beautiful Cities in Europe

By Zoritza Petrova on Tuesday, December 14, 2010

Colosseum RomeEurope is home to some of the most beautiful cities in the world. Unlike Canada, where most of the major cities are spread out by thousands of miles, traveling from London to Paris to Vienna is easy and efficient. Planning a trip to tour several European cities at once makes sense for your budget. A few things to consider while planning out your dream trip is international travel insurance and travel health insurance – or a policy that covers both.
Most people have heard of the major cities in Europe, but make sure that while planning you consider some of the smaller places off the beaten path. Rothenburg ob der Tauber, located within the Germany’s Bavarian Forest, is a preserved medieval town that is fully functional. Paris is the first city thought of when considering a trip to France, but don’t discount the world-famous vineyard regions of Burgundy, Bordeaux, Chablis and Champagne. Not only are these regions famous for their wines, but also their foods. Many speciality cheeses and beef dishes have originated from this region.
Nearly every city in Europe has a historic district unlike anything you’ll see back home in Canada; Europe tends to be quite persistent and consistent with it’s preservation. In many areas, entire sections of city are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Bruges, Belgium has such a city district. Areas not protected by organization tend to be protected by local mandate. This is why you are likely to find country lodging in a renovated carriage house or sometimes quirky hotel accommodation in downtown areas with small or oddly-shaped guest rooms. Europeans tend to have to work with what they have. This is also the reason for the clean appearance you are likely to see; property maintenance is a must.
There are many things to consider while planning a trip to tour beautiful cities in Europe. You need to determine which hotels have the most suitable accommodation that you require. If budget is a concern, consider youth hostels and check into options to work within the hostel system to get an even deeper discount. Keep in mind that car rental is available in Europe, though not common. Most travellers touring several countries during a single European trip will find a rail the cheapest and most efficient option. One important thing that travellers often overlook is the importance of international travel insurance and travel health insurance but after so much time, effort and money involved with planning a trip, the insurance is vital to protect what you invest.
