Sighisoara is a small town in Transylvania, central Romania. It has a quaint medieval broadcasting and its streets are for the most part, narrow and cobbled, and much more convenient for pedestrians than for travel by car. Indeed, people are moving here mainly on foot. It is very difficult for a 35 thousand city where remote places rarely more than 2 km. Since the city is situated in hilly mountain, its individual parts seem quite scattered and like sleeves temples squeeze between high and low mountains in the area. Often narrow and winding streets are starting to creep up the hills, making the small town very picturesque and charming. In the old buildings are home to many cafes and restaurants, which during the active season are usually filled with visitors. The old part of Sighisoara is really very beautiful and important tourist attraction. Besides its beautiful old architecture and medieval spirit of Sighisoara attracts crowds of visitors and one more thing – this is the city where he was born and lived Vlad Dracula the Impaler, better known worldwide as Dracula. He was born here on December 7, 1431. Later became known as an extremely cunning and fierce ruler. But do not stay with the wrong impression – Vlad Dracula has not walked the narrow streets of Sighisoara to drink vampire teeth with blood of late passers. The history is quite different and basically consists in the fact that Vlad Tepes liked to call of live people who somehow threatened his throne. This and other facts actually show even that sometimes reality is harsh and fiction, it hardly impalement is less scary by drinking blood. Today his house is a major tourist attraction. Another interesting attraction is the Clock Tower Sighisoara. With its gabled roof, it is easily recognizable and visible from afar. Do not miss the Cathedral and also the “Holy Trinity” and the church on the hill, which is a fine example of Gothic architecture in Romania. Museum of Weapons is not to be missed. There is exposed to a rich collection of many different weapons, not to omit to mention the fact that he occupies the first floor of the house of Vlad Tepes.
