Chichen Itza is the most famous Mayan city. It is located on the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. It is believed that the city was founded in 7. century. Over 10. century it was conquered by the Toltecs and the mid-11. century became the capital of the South American country. In 1178 was defeated by the combined forces of the three countries Mayyapan, and Ushmal Itsmal. In the middle of 16. century, during the Spanish conquest, sank at Chichen Itza ruins. Overall, Central and South America are one of the coolest destinations, which are intertwined culture and modern life among the tropics and mountains full of history. And if you visit Central and South America will undoubtedly see the wonderful views, great monuments and fortresses, and history of some of the oldest civilizations in the world.
And this really is usually not so popular in tourism, but definitely should be seen.
