Constanta is the third largest Romanian city of 350,000 people according to official data, but actually over 400 000. Constanta is the – oldest inhabited city in Romania (founded in 600) Is also the administrative center of the county. The port is the fourth in Europe after Rotterdam, Antwerp and Marseille and is much greater than Burgas and Varna together. It harvest many goods in the Black Sea region, but also the city is attractive for tourists and travelers, who want to see the Eastern Europe beauty. The new buildings are mainly banks, new offices, malls and hotels. The former Tomis building was reconstructed in the Mall, which has good view to the city and a lot of attractions for the guests of the city. In Constanta has a lot to see: there’s Aquarium, Planetarium, Waterpark, Genoese lighthouse monument of Ovid. The mosque was built in 1910 – with 50 meters high minaret that offers wonderful views of the city and harbor, this is the first concrete building in Romania.
The city is situated in the Dobrogea region on the Black Sea and through the years was important part of the politics and trade of the region. Definitely you will be impressed by the beauty of the central part and the historical objects of Constanta.
